Questions for Joan:
What happens if Im late when I use my credit card?
What if I spend more than I can pay off?
If I pay for things with the money I have, do I still get to have the banks financially rape me with interest and fees?

just keep money is savings and transfer into the debit card

    You sound like an …
You sound like an idiot might want to read my posts to get a clue before looking like a complete clueless jackass. We where talking about debit cards you pulled an awful lot of fantasy out of your to come up with that pathetic post. Please next time come big or go home.

    @vashguud: Keep in …
@vashguud: Keep in mind all those Federal Reserve notes your stuffing your bank account full of, soon enough will be worth the equivalent of toilet paper. So continue to praise your bank, however your being taken to the cleaners. Three words: Silver and Gold.

    Thanks to my wife, …
Thanks to my wife,we only have one credit card that is used in emergencies. We also have very little debt,we started living like this a couple years ago when things started going loony. We are some of the lucky few who are not buried in credit debt and high mortgage payments.

  • BuckFutterd:

    I haven’t had a …
I haven’t had a credit card for 7 years. I have used my debit card for purchases off and online and I can’t tell you how much I love using it. It’s like paying for something with a check or cash but your able to buy stuff at anytime like a credit card.

  • Anothercoilgun:

    So what difference …
So what difference is this from direct withdrawal? You are just one i the billions of the money game. All the banks need is 5% of people, 5% to pay on the due date and call it late and make hundreds of billions of dollars a year. The want everyone to use credit instead of debit because the change of non payment is better. A joke at best.

  • Anothercoilgun:

    Check this out.
    (1) …

    Check this out.
    (1) Free to get any credit card.
When you decided to close it, regardless of its standing, there comes “repercussions”.

    (2) Credit rating uses length of credit in its formula which is the “repercussion” from point 1.
    (3) Credit companies are raising rates to max 39%, minumum payments to max 5%, and annual fees to max $99, regardless of your credit standing.

See how point 2 allows corruption 1 and 3 to run around with impunity. Yet people still cannot put 2 and 2 together.

    They always lie and …
They always lie and talk about dangers. This is nothing new. People wake up.

  • claudiabb76:

    Well, another thing …
Well, another thing didn’t they take your tax money to bail themselves out? and not only they used it to pay their CEOs but they are trying to make you pay their debt with your Finance charges in those credit cards!!! We need a regulation urgent!!!!

  • claudiabb76:

    Not only they try …
Not only they try to get you to use your “credit cards” again, but also these pigs raised their APR almost 100% more and if you do not like it then pay off “your whole debt within a month.” Imagine those people who have thousands of dollars in credit cards???? are they going to pay them off or just take the 28% (Bank of America) increased? unfortunately if you are one of them you just have to stick with the raised.

  • WesSeid:

    Credit card …
Credit card companies will help you in case of a stolen card or identity theft, etc. My cards pay me to use them.

The only main problem with credit is if people don’t have the discipline to pay them on time or buy extra stuff with them. Credit cards are just a tool. Tools can be used for both good and bad, but it is up to the user to do so.

i only keep 500 dollars in my debit/checking account.

  • vashguud:

    That’s fail dude. …
That’s fail dude. Your bank sucks if they won’t back you up. My bank does not do home loans, my bank has cash, my bank has never borrowed bail out money. My bank will rip you a new one if you steal or use my debit card. I.E. … get a new bank.

  • JOConnor100:

    Kiplinger has been …
Kiplinger has been giving people bad advice for years. They were scared of the stock market in the fall of 2002. In 2005 they recommended home builder stocks. Last year they promoted oil stocks before the crash. Earlier this year they said cash was king. Think for yourself and invest in something that you understand well.

    My credit card …
My credit card company only protects me when I claim that my card has been lost or stolen; regardless of what really happened. I’m so sick of having to do that. I’m now relying on my cash at this point.

    First video in a …
First video in a long time I totally agree with. Put the plastic away and use cash or your debit card. Plan you trips to do shopping, make a list and stick to it. Find small ways to same money coupons, sales, 2 4 1, bring a lunch, only light the room your in, only heat the room your in, up your deductibles on car insurance, start a rotating car pool, I’ve done all of this and can live on $900 a month.

  • kenyastanditt:

    I agree that people …
I agree that people should stop using credit cards but disagree that they should start using debit cards. They should start using cash. There is a huge risk that your bank account can be cleaned out if your debit card number is compromised. And yes, it will take about a month to have full acess to your funds again. So why take the risk? Use a credit card and pay it off every month like using cash. Or just use cash period.

private American citizens can’t come anywhere close to outspending the Fed, so I say live it up and rack up that card. Your balance aint going to be worth a days wages in a few years the way the US buck is going.
