GM should not …
GM should not receive another dime of bailout money, not until they pay their workers a fair wage. GM is in the toilet because of their inmoral and greedy business practices. Have we not learned our lesson of worker exploitation from the Industrial Revolution. Government should stop giving GM tax breaks just so they can send jobs overseas. This was the biggest mistake of Bush and Obama presidencies. Pope Leo XIII addressed this problem in the encyclical Rerum Novarum.

When GM decided to put their profits ahead of their workers, they started going downhill. The UAW needs to stand up against the greedhead board members at GM. The UAW stands up for the poor and middle class, unlike GM, Chrysler, AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. GM should receive no bailout money due to their greedy practices.

GM probably should have been allowed to fail, but the government HAD to intervene with the banks because banking crises have the potential to destroy economies.

No, the government is ‘only’ going to own 60% of it. The majority share, so they can appoint the majority of members to the board of directors and simply CONTROL General Motors. Yeah, that’s a big difference from entirely owning it…wait, actually it isn’t.
