(July 8)[Notes:vick walk shot]Michael Vick’s situation has gone from bad to worse.The former N-F-L star now doing time in prison filed for bankruptcy this week.[Notes:still of vick]According to court papers he owes a number of creditors somewhere between 10 to 50 million dollars.[Notes:court sketches]Vick is in the middle of a 23-month sentence for organizing and bankrolling a dogfighting ring at his Virginia house.His football career and his financial standing quickly unraveled after his arrest with the Atlanta Falcons terminating his contract and demanding he repay them more than three million dollars.He also lost his sponsorships including a lucrative deal with Nike.Now he owes banks more than three and a half million dollars plus he owes another company four and a half million dollars.Vick says in court papers that he hopes he can rebuild his life, resurrect his public image and return to the N-F-L. ___ ___, The Associated Press.
