I had two auto loans for the two trucks that my wife and I drove. We had several credit cards with high limits; one of the credit cards was an Amex. This American express had no limit, you could run it up as high as you wanted each month but you had to pay it off the next month. My credit was so good that I could get a signature loan from that bank with no problem…all I had to do was sign my name and they would give me thousands of dollars. BUT then things took a drastic turn for the worse. My real estate business went down and in the process so did the rest of my personal finances. My houses were foreclosed on even the home that I lived in, my wife and kids and I had to move in with family. My two cars were repossessed and all of my credit cards became delinquent. My credit was totally ruined! I filed bankruptcy and when it was all figured out the bankruptcy discharge was well over a million dollars. Here is the good news… most people reading this do not have credit this bad. As you read on that I was able to get a credit card and start rebuilding my credit.
As I say in the video I was emotionally bankrupt along with being financially bankrupt. The first thing I had to do was get a car, the only place I could go was a buy here pay here lot. Just to be clear most buy here pay here lots do not report to the credit bureau. So getting a loan at a buy here pay here lot will not help your credit score. After that I began to apply for credit cards to start rebuilding my credit. I started applying for store credit cards just because it was easy to do… they entice you to apply with a ten or twenty percent discount off of your purchase. I was even declined for store credit cards. I finally resorted to searching online for credit cards for people with bad credit. After doing some research I found a short list of a few credit cards that are specifically for people with bad credit. Credit Cards For Bad Credit, How I was approved for several credit cards with bad credit and BK

I had filed chapter 7 bankruptcy my real estate business was bankrupt I have over 10 homes foreclosed on! The idea that I was ever going to get a credit card with such bad credit was disheartening. I also had 2 cars repossessed, I felt like I had the worst credit on earth. When things were going good in my life and my credit was great I could get a signature loan in a heart beat, I had an American express card that had no limit as long as you paid it off the next month.
After my bankruptcy, I didn’t know how I was ever going to get credit again even a credit card. I thought that maybe with my credit repair back ground that I may be able to find a way to get a credit card. I looked into the market of secured credit cards… this is where you make a deposit to the credit card company for the amount of your limit. For example if the secured credit card had a limit of $500 then you would pay $500 to them and they would give you the credit card. You may be asking yourself what is the point of the credit card if you have to pay the amount of your limit. The reason is that if your credit is so bad that is all you can get after you use that credit card for 6 months keeping the payment current and not going over the limit then it is building your credit and repairing some of the damage. After 6months you may qualify for a credit that does not need a deposit an unsecured credit card. The process is really not that complicated as long as you have someone to show you were to apply first to see if you can get an unsecured credit card, if your credit is too bad and you are denied for the unsecured credit card then apply for the secured credit card. Even if you can only pull together $250 to $300 dollars then you can get a secured credit card for that amount to start building your credit to the place were you can qualify for an unsecured credit card. Once you get to the place where you have three to five credit cards in use for 6 months and you keep the balance under thirty percent of the total credit limit and you pay on time each month it will build your score significantly. Keep in mind this is exactly how my wife and I repaired our credit after the bankruptcy. A bankruptcy that discharged over a million dollars in debt was not small BK and it ruined our credit but with the help of some smart decisions we were able to find credit cards for bad credit and use them to repair our credit score.
